We support students in reaching their goals and connecting them to appropriate resources. In doing so, our team provides short-term support to individual students and student groups in the following areas:
- Assistance navigating systems and accessing personal and community resources (i.e. housing, financial) strengthening their ability to advocate for themselves
- Short-term goal setting and action planning
- Developing strategies to cope with difficulties (i.e. social/emotional/academic)
- Integrating and engaging within the community
In assisting students develop greater resiliency we encourage you to learn from your past experiences. Think back to a time when you were faced with adversity. How did you cope? Was it effective? What made it effective? Keep adding each piece of learned wisdom to your self-care toolkit.
